British design classics on stamps

The Royal Mail has issued a set of 10 stamps celebrating 20th-century British design classics for this year! All iconic British designs that are known throughout the world. Example: Sir Giles Gilbert Scott’s design of the bright-red telephone box, or the Routemaster Bus: A true symbol of London to visitors from all over the world, now only a few of Douglas Scott and Colin Curtis’s remain on London’s streets. The Mini by Sir Alec Issigoni, has made use of every available space in the small car that was as much a fashion statement as a means of transport, the Robin Day chair, and Penguin books designed by Edward Young just to name a few.
