Adam Henein Exhibition

The Shaikh Ebrahim bin Mohammed Al Khalifa Center for Culture and Research presents this inaugural exhibition at the newly opened Bin Mattar House, as a part of Spring of Culture 2009, by Egyptian Artist: Adam Henein.

Adam Henein, is one of the well known artists in Contemporary Middle Eastern Art, and one of the most famous artist in Egypt. Highly modern in artist expressionism, heir to the legacy of Pharaonic Egypt, its science of proportions and materials, and its long standing tradition of craftmanship and architecture. This exhibition has a number of Henein's well known bronze sculptures, such as Rest (1955), Donkey (1964), Man Drinking and Man and Fish (1965). Also, for the first time, he displays his small sculptures together in sets and groups, creating unusual interactions between the pieces. Finally, he has four drawings, alternatively in charcoal and acrylic showing a wonderful insight into his world.

The Exhibition runs until April 22. Listed on art happenings.
